Personality: Though a dark past haunts this little girl, Carmena is not one to be depressed. She tries to be happy, but sometimes believes that being a maid is all she will ever accomplish. Though she is intelligent, and can read, write and speak in French, Italian and English, she does not believe she is smart enough to amount to anything but a servant. Though she's a dreamer, and spends most of the time she should be working daydreaming, singing and wandering about. She always gets her work done, however, and is a very hard worker when need be. She hates clutter and people who are disorganized, and when she does have a temper it's usually in more of a sassy way. Or it's about her family. Another thing she hates is being treated like a child, she likes taking care of herself and doesn't let anyone do anything for her.
The laid-back girl hardly stands up for herself when she does get into trouble, she has never been good at speaking for herself. She is very quiet and shy, tending to stay by herself rather than with others, unless she really trusts them. She has lost faith in miracles, though. Carmena tends to be a tomboy, but can be very feminine when she wants to be. When she is around a cute boy she gets nervous and shy, and when she is upset she prefers to be alone.

Biography: Alberto and Eliza de Ruiz happened to be one of the richest families in Italy, Stephen being a corporate bigshot, doting on their children and spoiling them day and night. Carmena Estella de Ruiz was born on a winter night, the first girl in the family. A family with two boys already, she was cherished and adored like her siblings. She looked like her mom, acted like her dad. It was the perfect collaberation of both parents.
As Carmena grew, she stayed with her brothers, becoming more and more like them. Though she was the quietest of the group, she became more of a tomboy. She always loved books, and climbing trees and drawing. Every day she became more and more beautiful like her mother. She also grew more and more attached to animals, not fearing any of them. It became apparent Carmena was not like most girls her age. Carmena also gained another brother, Giorgio, to add to the clan of Italians.
Carmena's life was turned upside-down the winter of her sixteenth birthday. While her parents were taking her to spend the night with a friend, Giorgio, who was five, was also in the car, they slid on the ice and went spiraling off the bridge they were driving on. The car flew over the edge into icey water, and only Carmena made it out. She has been petrified of water since. So when Armani was given a business trip to Tatum for free, bringing Claude, Naomi, and his siblings with him, she hesitated before agreeing. That's how they ended up there.
