-- OPEN MY EYES AND ITS AMAZING
Dislikes: being fat - being made fun of - peanut butter - onions - crying - tattoos - liars - homework - driving - spiders
Habits/Quirks: always plays with her hair - tends to bit her pens
Fears: being obese - dying
Secrets: she is bulimic
Personality: claire is a bubbly, in your face kid of girl. she loves being happy and doing anything possible to make others happy. she's the kind of girls that many people love being friends with while others are just find her annoying. claire is extremely talkative, much too talkative for her own good. as a child she would even talk to strangers, a habit that stressed her parents out too much. it's kind of hard not too like her. although she seems like an independent spirit, claire lets herself get manipulated by other people, in hopes that they will like her. honestly, she doesn't know how people are able to make friends. it seems extremely complicated, but she has never realize that she makes it complicated by not accepting the fact that she can't change everything about herself.
she can be quite oblivious, to the point where many people have called her slow. it takes her a while to get things, and if someone asks her a question you'll always hear an umm before a five-minute silence. not to say that she's stupid, because she does get good grades, she's just not as fast when it comes to trivial stuff. ask her about anything relating to life, on the other hand, and she'll answer before you even finish asking the question. she has never felt like being book-smart was the most important thing in the world. she believes that you need to know everything, and trust me when i say that she wants to know everything. claire is quite the curious girl. some might even say that she gets into other's business when she's not supposed to but it's not her fault that she's always been like that. claire has been called out on the fact that she pries into people's life, but her friends have grown accustomed to it by now.
although she likes knowing everything, it doesn't mean that she'll say stuff to others. claire is trustworthy, a quality that not many people expect her to bare. she doesn't like spilling other people's dirty laundry, and she hates even thinking about gossiping. not to say that she hasn't done it before, but she always feels guilty afterwards. claire hates being mean, if it weren't for the fact that she hates it when people mess with her more, she wouldn't even think about saying bad stuff to others. of course like any other girl, she will never let people say bad stuff about her. if someone speaks badly about her or people she cares about, then claire will lash out and go into bitch mode. she doesn't like when people are bitchy for no reason. you could say she's quite a hypocrite considering she does the same thing when she's with her friends.
claire is quite contradicting. she'll say one thing, and she'll mean something else. it's hard to agree with her because she's always changing her opinion on everything. she can just never make up her mind. it's impossible to tell her though because she's stubborn as well, and will say that she believed that all along. it's hard to get used to her at times. as was said before, she has always been quite talkative which means she's open about her opinions. okay so it doesn't really have anything to do with that, but for claire it does. she enjoys saying what she thinks out loud, and you can always find her jotting down a quick thought. she's enjoys being different but at the same time she wants to fit in. contradicting, i know. she has a unique personality but she has always had that little voice in the back of her head that tells her it's better to just fit in.
a few people could actually considered claire to be a whore. the fact that she lets other manipulate her to fit in made others opinion of her this way. her entire life, she has always been dating people that her friends thinks are right for her and believe me when i say, those guys aren't the most innocent around. but she does whatever they want so that they don't say a mean thing about her. it would be a lie to say that she's a virgin. just because of this little fact that many of her classmates consider her to be slutty. this little fact has also made it difficult for her to settle down. she feels like guys only like her because they think she's easy, and hasn't been able to be in a relationship for more than week. she hasn't made an effort to clear up her reputation as a slut because she feels like no one will really forget. sure, she wants to fall in love one day but that doesn't seem like its going to happen any time soon.

Biography: carson and ana's meeting was quite normal, they had met when they were both in the wound. well technically they didn't meet but their mothers had met, and they became close friends. they were born a week after the other and ever since then, they had been inseparable. they were friends throughout their teenage years but they didn't end up together till they were both in college. one day they just realized that they had deeper feeling for each others and they started dating. a year passed and carson finally asked her to marry him, much to the excitement of their whole family. truth be told, they always wanted their kids to end up together and it seemed that their wish came true. anyways they married and on their honeymoon, they conceived a child. they were elated, they had both wanted a big family, ever since they had first met. anyways, nine months passed before they had their first child, a girl named leah-anne smith. they couldn't be happier, but of course they wanted more than just one child. sadly it took them a little over two tears to have another child. another girl by the name of claire dianne smith. unlike her sister, claire had chocolate brown curls and a chubby face.
as a young girl most of their neighbors would gush about how adorable she was, even if she was over-weight for her age. her parents adored her, as did leah-anne who took her younger sister under her wing, forgetting the fact that she wasn't as talked about as claire had been. for her first three years of life it was only claire and her sister but their mother surprised them one day with talks of yet another child. both were elated, leah-anne a bit more then claire. don't get me wrong, she wanted to have more siblings, but she was used to being the youngest girl in the family. nine months passed before the first boy was born, trace andrew smith. claire was relieved to say the least, she might not have been the youngest child but she was still the youngest girl. luckily their parents had a big enough heart for all of them, only problem was that they lacked in the money department. after all the two had spent much of their savings on their wedding and current house, and their jobs were less than adequate for their current family. still they tried their best to give their children all they needed, even if it meant taking on various odd jobs as well.
claire entered elementary school at the age of four, almost five. seeing as many of the older students knew her sister, their siblings knew claire as well. she became quite popular due to her personality, a trait that was most sought out in the children's younger years. three years passed before her brother was able to join them in school. the children's younger years went well, sure at times they wished they could get stuff on christmas as fancy as some of the other kids but in the end they were all happy as long as they were together. it didn't take very long for another little bundle of joy to be added to this mix. the children's mother was pregnant with another baby once again, another girl, carolanne lizbeth smith. they family was growing once more and as happy as they were, their money trouble continued to get worse. it was hard sending three kids to school and taking care of a baby and at the same time joggling more than one job. the parents could not handle it, but they had no idea what else they could do but removed any excess cost they had. they sold one of their cars and even moved to a smaller but cheaper apartment.
they're new living space was cramped but the children learned to grin and bear it for their parents. although they put on a happy face for their parents, the children were miserable, most of all leah and claire. they were embarrassed to bring their friends home because they didn't want anyone knowing about their new home. too bad that living in a small town meant having everyone know everything. the girl's learned to ignore the rumors but it became harder and harder, especially for claire. now that her sister was in high school. claire would have to spend three years without her. then the family received great news. claire's father had been offered a construction job on this island. all their expenses would have been paid and they would even receive enough money to build a better house for all of them. the family jumped at the opportunity without even thinking about where they would be gpong. they were set to leave before the school year let out even though claire wished they could move sooner. the young child took this opportunity to improve herself before she moved to a new place. she didn't want to be chubby claire all her life. so she spent most of her time dieting and exercising so that she could be as thin as her sister leah. claire would spend hours working out and spend days without letting a morsel of food touch her lips.
finally, the family was set to move but they didn't realize that they had no idea where exactly they were going. all they knew, was that it was in an area close to the bermuda triangle. but they paid no mind to it, any job would have been better than the one they had. when they arrived, they were met with a group of people that explained to them about the place they called tatum island. it was for people with special abilities. it would be carson's responsibility to rebuild any building that was accidentally destroyed by a chosen that was barely learning to control his power and other buildings to expand the island. finally the family realized why they were being paid so much for it, they needed to keep quiet. they themselves were chosen to be in the island to protect it and help it expand. anyways, the children accustomed to the new place rather well, especially claire. her new appearance had given her the upper hand and she was finally the person she always wanted to be. unfortunately, she soon realized that starving wouldn't be enough especially since her friends began to notice. so the young girl moved on to throwing up to stay in shape. now claire is seventeen and her disorder seems to be getting the best of her.

why was it that everything had to happen to melanie? it was a question that melanie had been wondering for quite sometime. there was always something happening to her, whether it be embarrassing or attention-worthy. although some might consider attention-worthy stuff good for their reputation, melanie thought the opposite. she detested being the center of attention, especially when it was because of something embarrassing. unfortunately, melanie could not escape her fate. and with that final thought, melanie's moment of serenity came to a standstill. she had been sitting down in her favorite spot near the lake reading her favorite novel when a couple of slytherins ran in front of her. melanie ad ignored them at first, she didn't get along that well with all of her house-mates because of her views. she was expected to hate muggle-borns and be happy that there will still death eaters afoot, but she honestly couldn't care less about that. in melanie's mind all that mattered was how a person acted, and as far as she was concerned killing people because of their blood wasn't good. you would have thought people would all think the same way as her by now, but apparently the war did nothing to change their views. yells penetrated her eardrums, slightly annoying the brunette but she kept calm and continued reading.
the slytherins continued playing their game, thinking that melanie would get annoyed and leave any second. fortunately for melanie, she was used to this kind of thing and had an easy time ignoring them. plus, she had taken her pills earlier that day so she was basically programmed to be serene for a couple of hours. melanie continued reading her novel, letting her eyes focus on the slytherins every time she turned the page. after a while they seemed to grow tired but instead of leaving, they took a seat in front of her. their yells continues to grow louder by the second yet melanie kept herself composed, bent on not letting them get to her. she actually found them rather childish. her eyes landed on them once more, and she studied them for a second. one of them appeared to be her age while the other seemed slightly older. figures she thought, letting a chuckle escape her lips. the slytherins turned around at the sound of her laugh, their cheeks flaming red. a confused look appeared on melanie's face, after all they had no idea why she had even laughed. unfortunately they didn't even care to find out because at that moment they got up and headed straight for her. at first, she wasn't worried because they couldn't do anything to her, but as they took the few feet closer to her anxiousness set in.
they stood over her for a second, letting their eyes meet with hers for a milli second. the next serious of events happened to fast for even melanie. one second she was holding her book in her hands, and the next it was out of her grasp and in the hands of one of the slytherin boys. they ran straight for the lake, waving it around in their hands, taunting the young girl. she tried getting up but it was as if she was paralyzed for the one second. by the time she realized what happened, it was too late. they had let the book fall to the lake. melanie grudgingly got up, shooting deadly glares at the boys who had taken pride over taking a book from a girl, and walked into the lake. she was able to retrieved her book in a matter of seconds but ended up getting her leg tangle up in something. melanie had yet to realize until she was close to the edge of the lake. all of the sudden she felt something pulling on her leg. melanie tried pulling herself out of the water, thinking it was seaweed or something. she continued pulling, which caused a few people to stare at her. she began getting exasperated and pulled once more, rather harshly i might add, only to end up pulling to much and almost flying face first onto the shore.
she could feel the blood running down her knee and a strange pain emitting from her ankle. noises were heard from all around her, some rather amused while others concerned. fortunately for melanie one of the students had called a teacher who took it upon herself to escort the young girl to the hospital wing. melanie was told to wait on one of the beds while the nurse arrived. so melanie hopped on top one, ignoring the pain surging through her body. suddenly the door opened, which caused melanie to turn. she believed it was the nurse but was surprised to see that she was wrong.
