Personality:Maxim has a mixture of a personality. If you are kind to him, then he will return the favor. As soon as you do something against him you can expect his short temper to flare. Placing a burr under his ass is the worst thing to do. Once his anger snaps, it does not cool quickly. No, he will be in a fury until he finds someone to exact his revenge. Though if you can manage to get on his good side and befriend him, you will forever be favored and respected in ways you could not expect to be treated by someone with such a temperament. Though it is best to stay aloof and distant from him, do not in any way disrespect him or you will never gain his trust.

Something no one would ever think about him is his love for animals. Walk into his house and you'll find Irish Wolfhounds and several other breeds of dogs. There is never a stall empty in his barn either. Though he may breed and sell them, you can expect him to be wondering your way after a time to make sure that equine is being taken care of, as soon as he sees any mistreatment, that horse will be taken from you once more. He has the favor of the Royalty on his side. Though he has never been known to cry over a lost animal, he has been seen sulking about after one had been lost.

There are those rare moments when you can walk into his study only to find him working on paper work and yet there are those other times when you can find him with his feet propped on his desk and a book in his hands. Those are the times when you can get away with watching him in relaxed repose. Many times he can be found drinking wine while he reads and it makes you wonder what he's thinking, since he keeps most of those things to himself. He has never been known to keep women around for more than a few weeks and none of them have managed at being his Mistress.

Biography: Childhood
Maxim was raised to be the perfect Duke even before he knew that would be the destiny that would befall him. Other than that, his childhood was fairly normal. Maxim learned how to ride a horse and how to fence. He was always up to no good though, which is not something that fits into his future personality, but that's a story for later. He was very good in his studies and always got high marks from his tutors. It was amazing to see how many other nobles wanted their daughters to marry him before he was even of age to be deciding those things.

Teenhood
This was the hardest time of his life. When he was more reckless than before. His parents had died at sea, when the Irish attacked them. Though soon after that, the small war was ended. It wasn't something new to these people. The Irish and English were always fighting, but he was in a fury. He didn't know what to do after he had lost them. Maxim was of age to take over the title and lands that were his inheritance, but he wasn't sure if he wanted them. So many memories were there and it was a burning ache to wonder those halls alone except for the servants and visiting nobles.

Adulthood
Well, in the end he did take over the lands and he did claim the title. Other nobles still tried to talk him into marrying their daughters, but he always told them that he would only marry for love and with the King's permission, which was required of them all anyways. Nothing was done without her say so. Even so, Maxim cooled his recklessness into something unlike him. He stuck to the adventures that occurred with in the pages of a novel and only rarely traveled to Germany and other places. It just wasn't his style anymore to play the fool, though he still hopes to find love. The only adventure he ever part took in was moving from England to Alvidia and becoming a Duke there rather than in his home land. Here, he claimed eternal life as his own. He became a vampire.
