give back when you get[/center]
It seemed like it had been ten billions years since she went shopping. She remembered roaming the streets for shops and stores down in Santa Barbara. For some reason, it seemed like life hadn't given her the time to go and browse. She didn't have the money like she use to, so she just found herself window shopping, looking and longing for an outfit every once in a while. One of her many addictions was clothes. The wardrobe she had, however, was starting to slim down due to the fact she wasn't finished growing quite yet. She hoped that soon she would be finished with it so that she didn't have to go shopping. Her job collected her a couple of bucks, but she mostly spent it on drinks and parties. Then there was all the other random things, like school and food. All the other useless junk that she had.
Just to think, eventually she was going to have to go and find an apartment to stay at, as she was a senior after all. Her job had to give her some sort of promotion or something. Out of curiousity, she looked at an open house that looked a little bit like her old house and about fainted by the price of it. She'd have to settle for an apartment, if she could afford that much. With a sigh, her eyes scanned the streets. There was a lot of nice little shops that she poked through every once in a while. Most afforable things were the hand me downs. She did know she would have to get use to them if she was going to get any new clothes, but for that moment in time, she was going to remain stubborn. Becca in her past life had been pretty spoiled, though she may have not realized it now.
With a shake of her head, she turned and entered another small store for one thing in mind. It was a convient store, filled with nothing but junk that no one used, but the store owner had a couple of people in there to buy some random crap. It's the very reason she walked into there. Her eyes scanned for what she was looking for, noticing a couple of stares from the few people that were in there. With an annoyed sigh, she pretended not to notice. She thought that with all the other strange thing in this town that the last thing they would be interested in would be a girl with the brightest pink hair with black hair under it. It was the only thing out of normal, in her own looking overself, that seemed stare worthy. She had braclets all up her arm, three large ones over crowding the rest. Two white ones, one with the letters MCR across it- standing for My Chemical Romance. The other white one said 'GET LOW' for All Time Low. Finally, a green braclet with a taco and invanders zim posted on it. Her shirt was all black except for the colored letters of 'I <3 Nerds' and a blue skirt. The heels may have been a bit much, as she found the tallest she could find. Other than those factors, how was her weird different from the rest of the place?
Becca wasn't sure what it was. She only knew bits and pieces and could make assumptions from there. It was to her knowledge that a lot of the residences here were 'special'. Strange things happened around her when she was around one of them. A couple boosted about having a specific gift that others only dreamed of having. Becca didn't know what all this really meant, but at the same time, she didn't want to know. She was perfectly happy with being navie about the world around her. Though she was not the navie type, she'd like to think that all people were the same. Too much was starting to complicate her life. She didn't need to solve this big mystery on her hands as to what people meant by it. In a way, she already knew it, just didn't know the details about it. Shaking her head, she spotted with hungry eyes the item she wanted to purchase.
Her hand snatched the gummy worms as if they were going to be the last ones sold and gracefully swayed over to the counter, ignoring the gaze he was setting on her. Maybe she had something on her face and didn't know it. With a quick swipe, she grabbed her green zebra striped phone and used the blank screen as a mirror. Nope. Everything looked tidy and well. Her makeup was a little thicker that day than most, quite was saying quite a bit. It was no reason to stare. It was starting to become a little rude. It had been happening since she moved here. Though as she purchased, she put a delighted expression on her face and said in her high pitched voice, "Thanks sweetheart!" But when she turned, her expression went to one as if she smelled something awful. She stormed out of the store with her band of gummy worms, putting a couple into her mouth as quickly as she could. Oh, one of her weaknesses... gummy worms. She didn't spot someone slowly walking by then went and snatched her purse. With a groan, her mind screamed, oh cheesy and typical
She took off in a full out sprint, cursing words under her breath the whole way. The sprint didn't work out well considering she was in the high heels and when he turned the corner, he was gone. With a large moan, she looked toward the sky as if saying, anything else you'd like to throw at me?
